Thank you for the great question. I would love to remind teachers how they felt on test days. Did they have the anxiety, nervousness, edginess, agitation, and apprehension? If not, I could go on with my list. Teachers should be able to easily relate to their students when taking a test. Is it too noisy, too quiet, too dark, too much light? What are the distractions?
Why can't the test be fun instead of drill and kill? (At least the regular tests for in-school purposes.)
Thanks for thinking outside of the box. I now have a new way to "test" my students by having them make a video explaining processes or whatever - in a fun, engaging manner! Super post!
Hey Tricia,
ReplyDeleteThis is to the point and very relevant! Thank you for cutting to the chase. Now - how could you bring others on board?
I meant teresa... sorry!
